October 18, 2019 Maryland Equal Pay for Equal Work
The Maryland Equal Pay for Equal Work poster has been updated to reflect an increase in penalties for violations of the Equal Pay for Equal Work law. The law now authorizes the Commissioner to require an employer to pay a civil penalty equal to 10 percent of the amount of damages owed by the employer for violating the law if the employer is found to have violated the law at least two or more times within a three-year period. October 2, 2020 Maryland Equal Pay for Equal Work
The Maryland Equal Pay for Equal Work poster has been updated to reflect two amendments to the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The first amendment requires an employer, during the hiring process, to provide the wage range for the position to which the applicant applied, and prohibits an employer from retaliating, seeking or relying on the applicant’s wage history in screening a job applicant. July 18, 2023 Connecticut Pregnancy Discrimination
The Connecticut Minimum Wage – Mercantile poster has been updated to reflect that beginning January 1, 2024, the minimum wage will be adjusted by the percentage change in the employment cost of index calculated by the U.S. Department of Labor.
