The California Pregnancy Disability/CFRA Leave poster has been updated to reflect information on the New Parent Leave Act (NPLA). The NPLA requires employers with 20 or more employees to provide eligible employees with up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave for the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. The California IWC Wage Order 14, Agricultural Occupations poster has been updated to reflect the removal of the exemption for agricultural employees from overtime and created a schedule for phasing in overtime requirements beginning in 2019. September 16, 2020 California COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave
The California COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave poster has been released by the California Department of Industrial Relations.  A new law requires certain employers to provide eligible employees with paid sick leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. December 14, 2020 California Minimum Wage
The California Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The minimum wage will increase from $13.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour for employers with 26 or more employees, and from $12.00 to $13.00 for employers with 25 or fewer employees effective January 1, 2021. January 7, 2021 California Unemployment Insurance
The California Unemployment Insurance poster has been updated to reflect an expanded benefit to the Paid Family Leave Program. Beginning January 1, 2021, any employee who takes time off to participate in a qualifying event resulting from a spouse, registered domestic partner, parent, or child’s military deployment to a foreign country is eligible for benefits under the California Paid Family Leave Program. The California Fair Employment poster has been updated to reflect recent amendments to the California Fair Employment and Housing Act.  A new leave law amendment expands the definition of family member to include grandparent, grandchild, or sibling, and permits leave for certain military exigencies and also expands the law to now apply to employers with five or more employees. March 25, 2021 California COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave
The California 2021 COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave poster has been released by the California Department of Industrial Relations. Effective March 29, 2021, California employers with more than 25 mployees will have to provide their California employees with up to 80 hours of COVID-19–related paid leave. The minimum wage will increase from $14.00 per hour to $15.00 per hour for employers with 26 or more employees, and from $13.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour for employers with 25 or fewer employees effective January 1, 2022. The California Pregnancy Disability and CFRA Leave poster has been updated to reflect recent amendments to the California Family Rights Act (CFRA). A new law provides that employers must now grant eligible employees up to 12 weeks of job-protected time off from work annually for the purposes of providing care to a parent-in-law with a serious health condition. The California OSHA poster has been updated to reflect that an employer receiving a citation, Order to Take Special Action, or Special Order must post it or a copy, including a multi-language employee notification, at or near the place of the violation or unsafe condition for three working days, or until the unsafe condition is corrected, to warn employees of danger that may exist. Employers are prohibited from discharging employees or refusing to hire individuals based on their off-duty use of cannabis. May 14, 2024 California Wage Orders
The California Industrial Welfare Commission (IWC) Industry Wage Orders 5 and 7, Public Housekeeping Industry and Mercantile Industry have been updated to reflect an amendment to the minimum wage for certain fast food employees. November 5, 2024 California Workers' Compensation
The California Workers’ Compensation poster has been updated to reflect that an employee may consult a licensed attorney to advise the employee of their rights under the workers’ compensation laws and that the attorney’s fees, in most instances, will be paid from an injured employee’s recovery.
