The New York Fair Employment poster has been updated to reflect a new protected category. Employers are prohibited from discriminating based on citizenship or immigration status. The California Industrial Welfare Commission (IWC) Industry Wage Orders 5 and 7, Public Housekeeping Industry and Mercantile Industry have been updated to reflect an amendment to the minimum wage for certain fast food employees. The Washington Captive Audience poster has been released in compliance with a new law protecting the rights of workers from attending meetings or listening to their employer-sponsored political or religious communications. The law prohibits employers from penalizing, discharging, or taking adverse employment action against an employee who refuses to attend employer-sponsored religious or political meetings in the workplace. May 2, 2024 Nevada Annual Daily Overtime Bulletin
The Nevada Annual Daily Overtime Bulletin has been updated to reflect an increase to the hourly daily overtime wage rates for employees effective July 1, 2024. Employees earning less than $18.00 per hour are eligible for overtime at one and one half times the employee’s regular rate for over 8 hours of work in a 24-hour period, or over 40 hours of work in a week.
