Labor Law Updates

The Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave poster has been updated to reflect an increase to the cap of weekly benefits by the Washington Employment Security Department.  The maximum allowed for weekly benefits increased from $1,000 to $1,206. Order Updated Poster >

The New Jersey Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase in the minimum wage for agricultural employers.   The minimum wage for agricultural employers will increase from $10.30 per hour to $10.44 per hour effective January 1, 2021.  Order Updated Poster >

The Maryland Child Labor poster has been updated to reflect a change to the permissible hours of employment for minors 14 and 15 years of age. The Maryland Department of Labor has aligned the permissible hours  with the more restrictive Federal Law. Order Updated Poster >

The Pennsylvania Minimum Wage poster has been updated with additional information regarding exemptions from the minimum wage and overtime requirements. Order Updated Poster >

The Washington Rights As A Worker poster has been updated to reflect a clarification to the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act. The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries clarified that under the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act, employers are prohibited from requesting a job applicant’s wage or salary history, except under certain circumstances. The Nevada Workers’ Compensation poster has been updated to reflect a clarification of the rights and benefits under a permanent total disability. The poster was also updated with a new address for the Nevada Office for Consumer Health Assistance. Order Updated Poster >

The Oregon COVID-19 Temporary Standard for Workplaces poster has been released by Oregon OSHA in response to a new temporary rule intended to protect workers from exposure to COVID-19. The new rule requires employers to implement a comprehensive list of risk-reducing measures including physical distancing, enhanced sanitation measures, employee training, and COVID-19 incident response procedures.  Employers are also required to display this poster in a central location where workers can be expected to see it. The law will remain in effect until May 4, 2021, unless revised or repealed before that date. Order Updated Poster >

The District of Columbia Family and Medical Leave Act During COVID-19 poster has been updated to reflect that the temporary amendments to the District of Columbia Family and Medical Leave Act to create new job-protected leave for employees for various COVID-19 reasons has been extended through December 31, 2020. The Maine Regulation of Employment poster has been updated to clarify that the payment of wages may also include the payment of accrued vacation pay and/or Earned Paid Leave if established in company policy or in practice. Order Updated Poster >

The Vermont Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase in the minimum wage. The minimum wage will increase from $10.96 per hour to $11.75 per hour effective January 1, 2021. The basic wage rate for service and tipped employees will also increase to $5.88 per hour. Order Updated Poster >
